How does the mosquito repellent work?

Mosquito repellents work by blocking or disrupting the cues mosquitoes use to find people. Topical repellents mask scent signals on the skin. Spatial repellents like Thermacell disperse a pyrethroid vapor into the surrounding air, making the zone uncomfortable for mosquitoes to enter or remain in.

Does the E-ZoneGuard Pro Rechargeable Repeller kill mosquitoes?

The Thermacell E-ZoneGuard Pro Repeller is designed to repel mosquitoes, not kill them. The device creates a zone of protection that helps keep mosquitoes away.  In a confined or enclosed spaces with no airflow, mosquitoes are exposed to higher concentrations of repellent for an extended period may become incapacitated or die. The primary purpose of the product, though, is to repel mosquitoes and prevent them from entering the protected area.

Where is the best place to put my repeller?

Thermacell Mosquito Repellent product works well in outdoor areas where there is minimal air movement and where you will be spending your time. For best coverage in still air, place the unit close to the ground. This allows repellent to spread over a maximum area. Thermacell products are not intended for indoor use.

Can you leave your E-ZoneGuard Pro Rechargeable Repellers outside?

The Thermacell E-ZoneGuard Pro Rechargeable Battery-Powered Repeller is designed to be durable and withstand typical outdoor conditions. However, like most electronic devices, we do not recommend leaving it outdoors during rain or other severe weather conditions. For optimal performance and longevity, it is best to bring the device indoors when not in use or when inclement weather is expected. This helps protect the repeller and ensures it continues to operate effectively.

What Protection Zone does the Radius provide?

For the Radius, maximum repellency performance occurs within 10 feet around the device (110 sq ft). Repellency may extend beyond this range, but the level of protection will decline as you go further from the device.

What is the E-ZoneGuard Pro Rechargeable Repeller protection zone?

The E-ZoneGuard Rechargaeable Repeller provides a 20 ft zone of protection against mosquitoes.  It will begin creating a zone of protection around the device within minutes, but to experience optimal results in the full zone, the repeller should be allowed to run for at least 15 minutes. 

What is the battery runtime and recharge time for E-ZoneGuard Pro Rechargeable Repellers?

Up to 13 hours of runtime; approximately 2 hours to fully charge.
